To combat the sweltering heat, the franchise has planned multiple measures, including the installation of mist fans in all sun-facing stands and the provision of sunscreen and sun visors. Fans will also have access to free drinking water, Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS), and mobile medical facilities to ensure their safety and comfort during the game.

According to AccuWeather, the mercury is expected to peak at 41°C around 4 PM, with humidity levels hovering near 14%. Such extreme conditions will require both players and spectators to take extra precautions to stay cool and hydrated throughout the match.

The Narendra Modi Stadium has been the venue for three IPL 2025 matches so far, with Gujarat Titans securing victories in two of them. Their campaign began with a close 11-run loss to Punjab Kings, but they rebounded strongly, defeating Mumbai Indians by 36 runs and registering a commanding 58-run win over Rajasthan Royals.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals arrive at the game on a high note, having recently clinched a thrilling Super Over victory against the Rajasthan Royals in their home fixture.

GT, meanwhile, are reeling with player issues as Kagiso Rabada returned home for personal reasons in the middle of the event and then were dealt another blow as New Zealand star Glenn Phillips was ruled out of the event with a groin injury.
