Hawks Fire Gm Landry Fields, introduce Onsi Saleh

On Monday, Atlanta Hawks fired General Manager Landry Fields and introduced oni Saleh to fill the position.

The team also started a search for the president of the Basketball Operations after the 40-42 seasons, which resulted in overtime loss to Miami Heat, who visited the NBA Play-in Tournament on Friday.

36 -year -old Fields joined Hawks as Deputy General Manager in October 2020 and was promoted to GM in June 2022. Atlanta fell to the first round of playoffs in the first season in 2022-23 before missing the playoffs in the last two seasons and broke the general record of 117-129 during his term.

“I would like to really thank Landry for his leadership for his leadership during his time with us. Landry made our franchise’s left contributions to growth.” He said. “I am grateful for his commitment and wish him success in his next effort.”

Fields and Hawks prepared Zaccharie Risacher in the 2024 NBA draft number 1. During the French Advance Campaign, he received an average of 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 75 games (73 beginnings).

In May 2024, Saleh joined Atlanta with Golden State Warriors after three seasons and graduated as Vice President of Basketball Strategy and Team Advisor. He previously spent five years in the front office of San Antonio Spurs.

Saleh will supervise all daily basketball operations.

In order to provide strategic direction and structure, adding a senior leader, establishing partnership with ONS is the highest priority.”
