Since 2021, Surekumar changed the way of approaching the T20 kick. “Previously, I was hitting a 140-150 strike rate. But the game has changed. So I started to shoot different shots to stay in front of the pottery and captains. I focused on the areas where I could score goals with less risk.
Surekumar has become a reliable dough for India and Mi, known for its aggressive and creative shooting. It was part of India’s Muzaffer team in the 2024 T20 World Cup, and now he leads the national T20 side after Rohit Sharma’s retirement.
