It wasn't a large NBA draft expectation – more likely to have a overseas team or G league – so he decided to see where football can take it.

Orum I'm just training for basketball, I'm getting ready for the next level, Sch Schieffelin said to Espn. “Dabo reduced me from the opportunity he wanted to give to me, and they all sounded great, something I wanted to jump. I was really interested in trying to try and wearing a Clemson jersey was very attractive to me. It was a great opportunity to coach Dabo and Richardson.”

Schieffelin received 12.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per game last season for the tigers of 2024-25. He started all of the 70 games he played in the last two seasons.

“I never go back to basketball,” Schieffelin said, “he said. He continued: “I will see how the next six months go, I will see how my development is going, see if I really like playing football. But I think this is a good opportunity for the next six months.”

The most famous, Antonio Gates, from playing basketball in the city province for San Diego Chargers Pro football honor list has passed a tight end. Schieffelin told Espn that Indianapolis Colts, who played four seasons on VCU, told the tight-end Mo-Ali Cox about the opportunity.

Swinney apparently thought of the idea for a while. At a press conference that corresponds to the beginning of the college basketball season in autumn, Schieffelin was asked that he could play football – an early sports Schieffelin in high school. The answer is an enthusiastic yes.

“He could have played a tight end, D-End. He could play everything he wanted to play. It would be an incredible left struggle.” He said. “I will definitely have a point. Where do you go (after basketball), we have a lot of rev on wherever he wants to go.”

Schieffelin is studying and excited to see what the future is.

“Maybe I will be really good, maybe I will be really bad. This is worth a try. And it is really special for me to be able to re -wear a Clemson jersey, and this time it will be incredible at Death Valley.”
