Illinois’ Brad Underwood accepts the extension agreement until 2031

Illinois awarded Brad Underwood, a three-year contract extension for the 2030-31 season, for five NCAA tournaments and male basketball coach Brad Underwood.

Athletic director Josh Whitman announced on Tuesday that Underwood’s new agreement has increased its salary to $ 4.4 million for the coming season. The extension, which must be approved by the Board of Trustees on May 22, includes annual holding bonuses (starting with $ 1.15 million on July 1, 2026), a one -time signature bonus and multiple performance bonus.
