In IPL retirement, Dhoni says, “There is nothing to decide from now on.”

Mrs. Dhoni kept his cards close to his chest and refused to give information about his retirement
As we approach the end of IPL 2025, MS Dhoni was posed with a question on his retirement once again. The CSK captain claimed that there was nothing for him to decide immediately, hinting that the call could might as well only be taken before the start of the next season. CSK ended their losing streak finally on Wednesday as they defeated KKR by 2 wickets.

When will MS Dhoni retire?
Speaking at the post-match presentation, Dhoni pointed out that he was 43-years-old and that he played cricket only for two months a year. The CSK legend claimed that he would have to workout for the next 6-8 months in order to figure out if his body can take the pressure of playing for another season.
“That’s the love and affection I have got throughout, not to forget, I’m 43 and I have played for a long time. They don’t know when it will be my last year, it is a fact I play only 2 months a year. This IPL gets over, then I have to work for the next 6-8 months to see if my body is able to take this kind of pressure. Nothing to decide as of now, but the love and affection I get everywhere is excellent,” Dhoni said.
The question around Dhoni’s retirement has always been posed to him at the end of a season. This time was no different as well. However, like always, Thala has kept his cards close to his chest, refusing to divulge any information.
Earlier this year, Dhoni revealed that he wanted to enjoy the few more years of cricket left in him. At that time too, he had said that he played cricket only for two months while he had to keep himself fit by playing other sports the rest of the year.
