Seedless Jelena Ostapenko has completed its first run since February 2024, in the final of the Latvian native Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, when Stuttgart reduced the number 1 seed Aryna Sabalenga to 6-1 in Germany.
Sorry and Ostapenko rose to 3-1 in his career against players. The win came after Ostapenko defeated Iga Swiatek number 2 from Poland in the quarter-finals and rose to 6-0 against all times against Swiatek.
On Monday, Ostapenko took advantage of Sabalenka’s service mistakes and won 20 (64.5 percent) out of 31 second return points. Sabalenka won only 44.6 percent of the total service score (29 of 65) and lost four in the second set.
