Southern California 2028 will host Kiket at the Los Angeles Olympics

New Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced its fairgrounds in Pomona, a temporary stadium in Southern California, as a Cricket at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Fair areas in Pomona, known as Fairplex, are a 500 -acre activity complex that has been home to the Los Angeles District Fair since 1922.
In the Cricket competition in La28, the sport will return to the games after 128 years, each male and women’s competition will take part in six teams.
ICC President Jay Shah welcomed the approval of the place and is looking forward to working in partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to ensure Cricket’s success in games.
“Since our sport is an important step for preparation for the return of the Olympics, we welcome the announcement of the cricket place in Los Angeles 2028.
“Although the cricket is a very popular sport, it will be a great opportunity to expand traditional boundaries when it is in the Olympics in the Olympics in the Olympics, which should appeal to new audiences.

In 1900, the Paris Games, the only appearance of the Olympics, was included in the Los Angeles Olympics after an IOC meeting in Mumbai in October 2023.
The T20 format, known as a tool for the growth of the game by ICC, has been involved in other multiple sports events in recent years. While the Asian games in 2010, 2014 and 2023 presented both male and female T20 competitions, Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games organized a women’s competition. (Ians)
