India is preparing to visit England, the beginning of the new cycle at the ICC World Test Championship (2025-2027).
From June to August 2025, the series is planned with Headingley (Leeds), Edgbaston (Birmingham), Lord’s (London), Old Trafford (Manchester) and Oval (London) matches.
This will be India’s first series, as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from the test cricket this month.
Rohit Sharma completed his 11 -year test career on May 7, played 67 tests and scored an average of 40.57 points, including 12 centuries and 18 fifty.
Retirement leaves an important leadership gap in front of the UK tour, which also points to the beginning of India’s ICC World Test Championship campaign.
Virat Kohli also retired from the test cricket at the beginning of this month after a career of 14 years and 123 tests.
During his famous journey, he transformed the Indian cricket with an aggressive style and fitness emphasis. Kohli made an average of 46.85 and 9,230 running with 30 centuries and 31 fifty and became India’s fourth highest scorer in the tests.
