Injuries edge line penguins F Rutger McGroarty, 4 more people for the rest of the season

Pittsburgh Penguins excluded Rutger McGroarty and four other players because of the wounded in the seasons.
Pittsburgh (32-35-12, 76 points) announced on Thursday that McGroarty (lower body injury) and Tommy Novak (lower body), Blake lysotte (unpredictable), Noel Acciari (unexplained) and Matt Nieto (Matt Nieto).
Penguins are at home on Friday, New Jersey and against Boston on Sunday and against Washington on April 17.
McGroarty missed the training on Thursday after Pittsburgh threw his left skate during his 5-0 win against Chicago Blackhawks, who visited Tuesday.
McGroarty, who was 21 -year -old on March 30, has average of 14:37 ice time in eight games, while there is a goal and two assists. The Superstar center was playing with Sidney Crosby in the first line.
In the 2022 NHL Draft, Winnipeg Jets generally selected McGroarty, and in August 2024, he traded to Pittsburgh for advanced Brayen Yagger.
“This is disappointing because it was really playing and we thought it was a great experience to buy NHL games,” Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. He said.
For a playoff run, McGroarty may recover in time to be sent back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for a playoff run. There were 14 goals and 25 assists in 60 games with the AHL team.
“We hope that the injury of Rutger will arise.” He said. “We hope that Wilkes-Barre will play long enough to help them continue to succeed there. This is an important experience for him.”
33 -year -old Acciari has 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 79 games this season. 27 -year -old Lizotte, 59 matches 20 points (11 goals, nine assists). 32 -year -old Nieto has a goal and two assists with 20 blocks and 39 strokes in 32 games.
27 -year -old Novak took part in two games since Penguins bought Nashville on March 5th. He gathered 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) in 52 games with predators.
Pittsburgh called Vasily Ponomarev, Emil Bemstrom and Valtter Puustinen in emergencies from AHL.
