New DELHI: After consultations with the government, security agencies and all key stakeholders, the Cricket Control Board (BCCI) in India decided to continue the rest of the Premier League (IPL) 2025 in India. All matches will be played in six determined venues.The season will start again at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 17, and will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru Kolkata Knight Riders. The tournament was suspended for a week following cross -border tensions between India and Pakistan, and in the meantime, Pakistan launched missiles and drone attacks successfully seized by Indian forces.As part of the reviewed program, no match will be held in Mohali or Dharamsala. The fixture against the Mumbai Indians, who had previously been shifted to Ahmedabad, will take place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 26th.The final of the IPL 2025 will be played on June 3 and the playoffs will start on May 29th. BCCI, said in a statement on Monday, “A total of 17 matches will be played in six places on May 17, 2025 and will end in the final on June 3, 2025. The review program contains two pairs of titles to be played on two Sundays.”According to the updated plan, Qualifier 1 will be played on May 29, then on May 30th.
