Ishan Kishan received a UK tour before India and fifty hymen for SRH

In this fifty previous 10 strokes, Ishan Kishan only scored 125 runs.
0, 2, 2, 17, 9*, 2, 1, 44, 13, 35—these have been Ishan Kishan’s scores after he scored his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) hundred on March 23. The wicketkeeper-batter was having a horrid time. From an all-time high to starting his Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) chapter with a century to scoring a mere 4 runs in the next 3 matches.
Ishan Kishan’s 2-month wait over
But he’s finally back, albeit after 2 months. Although he managed to cross the 30-run mark twice in the last 3 matches, he still wasn’t hitting the ball well. But against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Kishan looked near his best. With wickets tumbling at a consistent rate, it was the southpaw who took SRH to a competitive total.
Abhishek Sharma and Aniket Verma played more interesting innings, but Kishan was SRH’s most impactful batter. If he had been in the middle from the 5th over, Hyderabad may have crumbled. And by no means was Kishan slow. His fifty came in just 28 balls. Neither his intent nor the run rate dipped at any point.
Eyes on India A tour of England
This fifty has come at the right time. Because by the 25th or 26th, he’ll travel to England for the India A tour. And the timing of him getting among the runs couldn’t have been better. Having been out of the reckoning for one and a half years, the two practice matches against the England Lions might be Kishan’s chance to play for India once again.
Although Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel are ahead of him in the pecking order when it comes to India’s Test wicketkeeper, Kishan can show the selectors that he’s a worthy pick. If not for first choice, Pant can at least be the second choice ahead of Jurel. And although he’s scoring runs in T20s, it’s still better than scoring no runs at all.
