Ishant Sharma suffers from timeless injury as Sai Kishore completes it, it comes out of the field

Ishant Sharma has received four small doors in 7 games for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025, and may disrupt the balance of a side of the injury.

Even though GT won yet another IPL 2025 match, this time against SRH on Friday, but one of their most experienced bowlers Ishant Sharma seems to have suffered an injury on the left leg during the last over of the match. The incident happened in the second innings of the clash, where GT were certain to win, but then Ishant fell in his follow-through, and did some damage to his left leg.

Ishant Sharma Gets Injured

Post this, he was helped off the field by the physio and the support staff, with spinner Sai Kishore completing the rest of the over. Eventually, the Shubman Gill-led side completed a 38-run victory. Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma ended the day with figures reading 1/35 in 3.2 overs.

NO Clarity on Nature of Injury

There is still no clarity on the nature of the injury, or the extent of it. For all you know, it could just be a cramp. In the seven matches he has played so far, he has picked up four wickets. While his overall numbers look poor, his contribution extends well beyond that.

On the other hand, GT have more or less qualified for the IPL 2025 playoffs, with seven wins in 10 matches. They are second in the points table, and still have four matches to go. They have a chance to finish in the top 2 in the group stages, and are one of the solid contenders to lift the IPL 2025 trophy.
