Islanders New GM: Patrick Roy will remain as the chief coach

Patrick Roy will remain as the chief coach of the New York Islanders, New General Manager and Vice President Mathieu Darche, said at a press conference on Thursday.

Roy, 59-year-old, has a record of 55-47-17 since the Lane Lambert changed on January 20, 2024 to the Aries of the Islanders. Famer Salonu, 35-35-12 points this season, but the club could not direct the playoffs.

Darche said assistant coaches John Maclean and Tommy album will not return to the bank.

However, Darche was not made there.

When asked if he was interested in entertaining offers for the best general selection of the 2025 NHL draft, Darche was fast with a response.
