Team Updates

It doesn’t matter which combination they play, it was poor throughout –

RR did everything they could practically, but failed to return to the ways of winning. The team has only one match in IPL 2025 and only won three matches. Most of the time, despite the good strokes in the stages, RR was weak when chasing, and it continued for a long time. In the other […]

RR have practically done everything in their power to get back to winning ways, but unsuccessfully. The team has just one encounter left in IPL 2025, and have won only three matches. More often than not, despite batting well in phases, RR have been poor while chasing and that continued for long.

On the other hand, bowling has been too brittle, and major changes need to be made before the next season starts. Anyways, InsideSport takes a look at the RR predicted XI vs CSK..

Yashasvi Jaiswal & Vaibhav Suryavanshi to Open

Skipper Sanju Samson did the correct thing by demoting himself at no. 3, while making Suryanshi open. That should be the case on Tuesday as well. The 14-year-old kid has done exceptionally well at the slot. In the last match also, he went on to score 15-ball 40, which put RR in a decent position to win. In 6 Matches he has scored 195 runs at an average of 32.

Replace Shimron Hetmyer

The West Indian battet, Hetmyer has been poor. In 13 outings he has only scored 227 runs at an average of 20. The time has come for RR to make a statement — that they seek changes. Instead Kunal Singh Rathore can be drafted in for the last match. Shubham Dubey is also a good option and has played 9 matches for the team this year.

Bowling Remains a Challenge

There will be no Jofra Archer for this match. And just about any bowler in the team — be it Theekshana, Tushar Deshpande, Wanindu Hasaranga — they haven’t been at their best. So, from whatever resources they have.. they need to make the best choices. For now, Theekshana, Maphaka, Fazalhaq Farooqui make the cut.

RR Predicted XI: Sanju Samson (C) , Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Shubham Dubey, Wanindu Hasaranga, Kwena Maphaka, Maheesh Theekshana, Akash Madhwal.
