Jay Monahan Rory Rory McILOY’s program: ‘I have no worries’

PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, the tournament planning plan came to the defense of Rory McILOY, who will remove him from the monument tournament this week and mark the third signature event he missed this season.

In his statement to journalists on Wednesday, Muirfield Village Golf Club, the site of this week’s monument tournament, told reporters, “The beauty of our model is that our players have the ability to choose their programs.” He said. “What Rory McILOY has done, I think it has played every year since 2017 in this tournament. And you are looking at the tournaments it supports. I don’t worry, because you look at it in balance, your support to our tournaments and partners is extraordinary.”

In addition to jumping the 50th edition of the monument of this week, the world’s number 2 player and the RBC heritage scored and both signature events.

36 -year -old McILOY, next week RBC Canada Open in favor of the monument tournament chose to skip a few eyebrows.

Northern Ireland native, chose to play the week before a major championship. The Monument Tournament and Canada Open turned the calendar places this year, and Canada is now directly directly directly to the US Open in the Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

McILOY completed Grand Slam last month by winning Masters. He won his first green jacket and his fifth career dramatic, overcoming two couples in the first round, and two more on Sunday before defeating Justin Rose from England in a playoffta.

“Look at the season of Rory. He had a season that changed life.” He said. “You won the players championship, you win the Masters tournament, you win (career) Grand Slam, and you earn At & T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.”
