Jazz Expand Coach Will Hardy up to 2031

Following the worst season in the history of franchise, Utah Jazz confirmed his commitment to the head coach Will Hardy with a contract on Monday.
Hardy, 37-year-old, recorded 85-161 (.346) without any playoff appearance during the first three seasons in Salt Lake City. The new multi -year agreement lasts until 2031.
“I'm humble and honored,” Hardy said, according to the team website. “This is an incredible franchise. It is difficult to depend on the next stage of our process. Such moments are very surreal. I am very excited.”
Jazz finished the NBA's worst record in 17-65 in 2024-25. Previously, the worst end of Utah was 23-59 in the opening season in the league between 1974-75.
“The owner Ryan Smith X is a great leader, communicator and ambassador for Will. “… Our aim is to hang a poster and Will is a big part of this journey.”
In June 2022, Hardy worked with Boston Celtics (2021-22) and San Antonio Spurs (2015-21) before becoming the head coach of jazz.
