Joel Dahmen was poured into 10 birds in the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic Punta Cana on Thursday.

62 of Dahmen’s Puntacana Resort’s Colas Golf Field was enough for a two -stroke leadership to England’s Matt Wallace and South Africa’s Garrick Higgo, Keith Mitchell.

“I think it’s just to know that my game is there,” Dahmen said. “We talked a little on Tuesday (on his training round), my game was quite good. Just let him come to me and come out with the intensity I had on Thursday. I think today I did a really good job.”

Dahmen made five birds of each nine and there were three birds in three separate situations.

Dahmen’s only PGA Tour victory, which has a favorite fan and Netflix series “Full Swing”, came in the 2021 edition of this tournament. He fell to number 176 in the world ranking and fought to re -shape his game.

Dahmen, “I can say that the masters motivated me to return to the golf field.” He said. “There was a sour taste that left San Antonio with the kidnapped cut there. I needed a week, I needed to refresh, I had to go home and relax and have to take my mind for four weeks. So far.”

Mitchell was on the throne under the age of 8 under the age of 64 when Dahmen began in the afternoon.

Dahmen, “historically, I fought in the afternoon when people fell.” He said. “I feel 8 of the bullets, and I struggled to feel that I was playing captures when I haven’t finished in the past.”

Dahmen is not the only champion who made a strong start on Thursday. Wallace, Wallace, won in 2023, directed eight birds and zero Bogay.

“He made a nice start, the first held a 25 -meter holding in the first, and I said, ‘Okay, don’t go back,’ Wallace said. “But I know – I know what to do here, I know what to do during the week. Today it has definitely exceeded my expectation. Every day I have a kind of score in my mind and I managed to reach so fast on this front.”

Matt Nesmith, Chris Gotterup, Andrew Putnam, Quade Cummins and Japan’s Rikya Hoshino were the fifth age 65 years old.
