Joley Mitchell Homers twice, No. 6 Texas Beats No. 3 Florida WCWS opener

Joley Mitchell hit a pair of solo house run and Teagan Kavan defeated the sixth seed Texas Florida 3-0 in the opening round of the Women’s College in Oklahoma City on Thursday.
Texas will take the winner of the Oklahoma-Tennessee match on Saturday, Thursday. Florida will play Oklahoma-Tennessee in a qualifying match on Friday.
Mitchell launched the score with Homer, a leader above the second shot from Keagan Rothrock, and submitted 2-2 to the left.
Mitchell then threw Rothrock’s 2-1 field on the right center to start the sixth, Grant’s central field player Kendra Falby missed a capture that only survived home.
Mitchell’s first married running and graduate student was the 15th and 16th of the season.
The next inclination Katie Stewart chased Rothrock (16-7) with a line driver Homer to make 3-0.
Florida, the Fourth, two exits in the field of Korbe Otis until the bachelor was not hit. Taylor Shumramer, a slow roller with a sixth output for the second hit, was third.
Kavan (25-5) created plenty of soft contact with only one strike and two walks.
