To do what the winner cannot do, Kentucky Derby second door remains open to journalism: May 17 in Preakness Stakes.
The sovereignty won Kentucky Derby’s favorite journalism on Saturday, but decided to skip the second stage of Triple Crown in Baltimore.

“We will not rush to any determination at the moment. We will keep preakness in the game,” Aron Wellman, the CEO of Eclipse Safkan Partners, one of the owners of journalism. He said. He continued: “We will watch journalism in the best way and then we will make the best decision for the horse. We do not say that we are in it and we certainly do not close the door.”
Journalism was a 7-2 favorite for Kentucky Derby after winning a victory in Santa Anita Derby on April 25th. Colt won four wins in the third race in the first race in Santa Anita in October last year.
