Two weeks after losing Kentucky Derby, 3 -year -old Colt is a favorite morning line for Preakness Stakes in Baltimore on Saturday.

Starting the derby as a 3-1 favorite, the Educator Michael McCarthy’s Stakes winning horse gathered in the middle of the package to claim that the bullet came out of Churchill Downs before the sovereignty chasing it and 1 1/2 length.

The connections of sovereignty have chosen to jump Preakness to prepare for the Belmont Stakes in NY next month, the journalism will not revenge on a line that has gained four races. This is also included in the seventh in Louisville on May 3 as Arkansas Derby award -winning Colt, who finished as the second choice of Derby Bettors.

Journalism is currently 8-5 on the morning line, but COLT, made by Curlin, can bet less than money when the 1 3/16 mile race starts around 19:00. McCarthy told reporters this week, for the first time, just two weeks after a race, he said he loved what he saw from journalism who wanted the competition.

“Sometimes with good horses, it is much more difficult to say that they are not above their games because they can handle it.” He said. “They’re handling them very easily. We’ll see on Saturday, but my intestine tells me we’re for good things.”

D. Wayne Lukas’s American promise is sitting at 15-1 in Preakness Stakes in the field of journalism and Sandman only one more journalism and Sandman. Virginia Derby won the 16th in Churchill Downs. However, another horse running in Derby Day is on the field.

The target-oriented (6-1) Derby Undercard went from the wire to win a 1/16 mile allowance race in Derby Undercard. Preakness will only be the third race and will be the first bet for Colt trained by Bob Baffert.

Baffer, who won the eight Preakness race, hopes to follow Lukas’s path to victory last year. 89 -year -old instructor, two weeks ago in Louisville’de Pat on the day after winning Gray seized Gray. However, in a statement he gave to journalists on Thursday, Baffert knows that the target -oriented well is the person who defeated his horses in Santa Anita Derby in April.

“This is everything,” he said about journalism. “He proved this. If he brings ‘a’ game, it will be difficult. We need luck.”

The target -oriented by Flavien Prat drew the inner pole, just like Baffer’s Citizen Bull did in Kentucky Derby. While journalism broke through the second gate with Umberto Rispoli, American Promise and Jockey Nik Juarez drew the third door.

Sandman (4-1) There is John Velazquez on the ship and will be broken through the seventh door. The Thames River (9-2), one of the more rested horses, is probably the biggest rival of journalism. Trained by Todd Pletcher, COLT was qualified for Kentucky Derby after the fountain of the youth piles on the blue grass bets of Gulfstream Park and Keeneland, but the horse’s connections took him into the Preakness to focus on Preakness. Irad Ortiz Jr. calls the sixth -breaking Thames River.

This week there was significant rainfall in the Baltimore area and there is additional rainfall in estimates. This may cause Preakness to operate under out -of -road conditions such as Kentucky Derby.

Saturday points to the 150th run of Triple Crown’s middle jewelery. In addition, Baltimore and Washington will be the last person held in Pılmlıo before building a $ 400 million reconstruction that would require to be built in Laurel Park, 30 miles southwest of Pilmlıo between DC.
