When a big championship was played at PA.-Quail Hollow, Flourtown used a final round for a two-shot victory in the 2017 PGA Championship.

While the PGA championship returns to the same site next week, Thomas should be one of the favorites after showing that it has found the best form of a victory. Nevertheless, the possibilities of Thomas’s major sports books sit between 20-1 and 22-1, because most attention focuses on two of their peers: Scottie Scheffler and Rory McILOY.

This fits Thomas very well.

Thomas was asked about the difficulty of not being excited about his own chance, not about external expectations, Wednesday before the start of the Truist championship at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.

“To be honest, Rory probably helped this … Rory, who won the masters … Rightly. Scottie wins last week. These two deserve all the spotlight and favoritism they may be next week.” He said. “That’s why I’m sure it helped me.

“… Yes, I’m sure I can feel a little different when I buy (Hollow will be quite), but as I said, I was lucky to play a few of my peers for playing some of me.”

In 2025, MCILOY seized last month masters to complete the most winning player and Northern Irish Grand Slam and end a decade. Scheffler did not win the same Torrid Pace in 2024, but last week, he shot 253 under 253 to escape with CJ Cup Byron Nelson.

Among these tournaments, Thomas’s first tournament had a RBC heritage in which it won for almost three years. McILOY, Scheffler and Thomas, three of the most well -known faces on the PGA Tour, are nine combined main titles.

“I appreciate that it can be mentioned in the same sentence and in the same area as Rory and Scottie,” Thomas says Thomas. He said. “Obviously I think of myself and many of my game and success, and I know that I’m doing this. But like almost all of us, we are underestimating everything we do and probably what we feel about ourselves.

Thomas added that McILOY’s completion of the ultimate success in golf is not only for sports, but also “too big” for him.

“He was inspiring me,” he said. “Frankly, I didn’t realize that I wanted to win a great Islam before that, but it’s just even more motivating.”

Thomas in Harbor Town Golf Links, opened with a 61 -year -old 61 under the age of 10 and left the field at the signature event for the rest of the week. Like inheritance, the Truist Championship is the signature event with the best PGA Tour player in the field.

Thomas, “At this moment I do not feel as good as I did on Thursday or on Sunday of the town of Harbor, but this is, tomorrow or the next day and so on.

“I have proven that I have a firepower to make 10, 11, 12 birds in a tour in my game.
