What is the KKR in IPL 2025?

The title defense of the KKR went upside down, but the champions began in 2025 even before the field.
Kolkata Knight Riders saw that they had come out of the defense rail in IPL 2025. The champions, led by Ajinkya Rahane, have fell into another defeat on Monday, all of them ended their playoff hopes. As it continues to mathematically, it seems to be a very distant bridge for the KKR team, given their current struggles.
Here we are trying to coding the IPL 2025 struggles of the KKR in Insidesport.in and the reasons behind it.
1. Leadership Revision
Gautam Gambhir heralded the IPL 2024 victory of Knight Riders as his mentor. Gambhir, a World Cup champion and IPL champion twice, instilled a fearless approach to the squad. He and Shreyas Iyer established a lot of partnerships and helped a title after a ten -year waiting. This success saw Gambhir boiled by BCCI for the Indian Cricket Team concert and Abhishek Nayar also left. Iyer was not held and Ajinkya Rahane Captain was appointed, Dwayne Bravo entered as a team mental teacher. After 3 wins in 8 games, the changes did not work for KKR.
2. Openers and PowerPlay Failure
Most of the KKR’s success were built on their ability to be great and harsh in the power game with Sunil Narine and Phil Salt. The duo has constantly scored more than 12 goals and gave KKR a platform to build its strokes. Phil Salt did not enjoy the best returns while moving to RCB and Sunil Narine, KKR fought. So far IPL 2025, the only team that does not have more than 50 opening partnerships. The first six maritime running rate is the second lowest, ie they always play capture.
3. Middle order failed
Although the highest levels did not begin, he did very little to compensate for the middle order. Ajinkya Rahane is the only player with its respected numbers for 3 half centuries. Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell and Angkrish Raghuvanshi did not consistently deliver them. 111 defeats to the Kings of Punjab, which they could not chase, is a clear summary of their struggle with the bat this season. Previously, they were launched by Mumbai Indians for 116. Spin and score runs have seen the ability to take the back of par scores and working rates and made the defeat a much more similar result.
4. Terrible auction, holding up
Kolkata Knight Rides was among the two teams that holds 6 players who went to the auction of Mega. While the veterans continued to rely on Sunil Narine and Andre Russell, they decided to quit Captain Shreyas Iyer. Despite their glittering budgets, the defending champions exceeded the 24 RS to get Venkatesh Iyer. He was appointed as a versatile assistant captain, but was largely disappointed. KKR also could not change the likes of Phil Salt and Mitchell Starc and made too many holes. Although Narine and Russell were preserved, they could not leave a mark in IPL 2025 and made the decisions of the KKR even more controversial.
5. Lack of role clarity
KKR’s struggles seem to depict the lack of role clarity on the side. Angkrish Raghuvanshi hit the number 9 in KKR VS GT Clash, although he was a high -level bat. Ramandeep Singh, a determined terminist, was promoted to LSG in the defeat, while Rinku Singh did not put a wound again this season. Quinton’s role as Kock’s role as a PowerPlay practitioner hits 137.50 with Proteas Ace. Rahmaullah Gurba, Z only 4 balls took place.
Kolkata Knight Rits can still win the remaining 6 matches and prove their suspects wrong. Three times the champions had a similar return in 2021 to reach the finals. However, it is seen that the KKR IPL 2025 team can do the same.
