KKR, Xi vs CSK: Did Powell foresee?

KKR, IPL 2025 Playoff hopes to keep the hopes alive in a match that must be won CSK'yı seize CSK
Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Chennai Super Kings in what is a must-win game for the defending champions. Rahane and co. kept their IPL 2025 playoffs hopes alive by defeating RR by 1 run in their previous game. KKR will be looking to retain the same playing XI as they take on a struggling CSK.

KKR predicted playing XI vs CSK
Position | Player | Role |
1. | Rahmanullah Gurbaz (WK) | Batter |
2. | Sunil Narine | All-rounder |
3. | Ajinkya Rahane (C) | Batter |
4. | Venkatesh Iyer | Batter |
5. | Rinku Singh | Batter |
6. | Andre Russell | Batter |
7. | Rovman Powell | Batter |
8. | Anukul Roy | Bowler |
9. | Harshit Rana | Bowler |
10. | Vaibhav Arora | Bowler |
11. | Varun Chakravarthy | Bowler |
KKR are likely to stick with Gurbaz as the opener along with Narine. This means de Kock will continue to warm the bench. Rahane and co. will be hoping that Venkatesh Iyer will be able to fire in the game against CSK. Iyer hasn’t delivered a standout performance yet in this season and has been a point of concern for KKR’s middle-order.
Russell finally rediscovered his form in the previous game against RR, scoring a whirlwind fifty. KKR will be hoping that he will be able to replicate that performance once again on Wednesday. Rovman Powell could also be given a chance to feature in the playing XI.
On the bowling front, KKR are likely to stick with the pacer trio of Rana, Arora and Anukul Roy. Chakravarthy and Narine wil be the two spinners while Russell will serve as a part-time pacer.
