Kyle Kirkwood is Alex Palou to win Grand Prix from Long Beach

Kyle Kirkwood wetted Alex Palou’s red-hot run to start the season by winning Long Beach’s Acura Grand Prix in Long Beach, California.

Kirkwood started from the polar position and directed 46 out of 90 rounds and always fought Palou. 26 -year -old child from Florida, St. Petersburg, Fla. And the thermal caught Checkers in 2,6859 seconds in front of Spanish who won a consecutive races to start 2025 in California.

The race did not include any warning time, so Kirkwood and Honda 27 had to adhere to a strict strategy for the first place.

Kirkwood, “We checked the race – even from practice, right? We felt we were in control.” He said. “Really good qualified, amazing race, surprising strategy. But today it was the entire execution of us that won us today, because if it were in front of Palou, it would have certainly defeated us. This was a runway position here without any yellow.”

Defending the Indycar series champion Palou, “absolutely” to start the year, “he said he was happy with two wins and one second.

“You never feel incredible when you finish the second, but to be honest, 27 cars kyle, it was incredible all the weekend, super -fast.” He said. “I tried, I tried my chances, but we couldn’t really work. I made a really bad start with me and put us on the back.”

Kirkwood’s third career Indycar title was the second in Long Beach and his first win since August 2023.

Kirkwood, “This is a good one. It has been a long time. Last year, there is no gain for me, it is very big for me, very big for morale, big for 27 crew, big for Honda.” He said.

Christian Lundgaard from Denmark, who manages 26 rounds, took third place, then the will power of Sweden’s Felix Rosenqvist and Australia.
