LBW, Ultraedge Tech in MS Dhoni’s CSK VS KKR Short Discussion is a slight increase to arouse doubt

Mrs. Dhoni returned as a captain for CSK, but things didn’t really get in order as the team lost to KKR again. However, the increasing remarkable thing is that Mrs. Dhoni is controversial.
CSK again didn’t have a good outing at MA Chidambaram Stadium. Initially, in the last few games, we saw how they lost while chasing, and now they lost while defending. Once again, it was their batting that let the team down this time vs KKR. But now, what is getting attention is CSK skipper MS Dhoni, who took CSK charge since Ruturaj Gaikwad is not in the mix due to an elbow injury.
In the very first match of his return as Chennai Super Kings captain, MS Dhoni’s wicket became a subject of controversy when he was given out LBW. The delivery from Sunil Narine came from outside the off-stump and hit Dhoni’s pad before traveling towards the stumps. Umpire Chris Gaffaney gave him out, prompting MS Dhoni to immediately take a review. The third umpire, Vinod Seshan, took some time before making his decision, and then he gave Dhoni out.
What really happened?
The replays showed a faint sound, but not a clear edge. After reviewing multiple angles, third umpire Vinod Seshan confirmed there was no bat involved and the ball was on track to hit the leg stump, upholding the on-field LBW decision. Dhoni accepted the decision calmly, but CSK coach Stephen Fleming took a strategic timeout and briefly spoke with umpire Chris Gaffaney.
Sanjay Bangar on Controversial Review
Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, former Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru coach Sanjay Bangar criticized the third umpire’s indecision during the review. He noted that the umpire seemed uncertain and mistakenly said “forward” when he meant to say “back,” adding confusion to the process. However, Bangar also pointed out that UltraEdge did detect some contact, suggesting there was indeed contact with the bat.
