‘I am not retired’ – the former Pakistan captain is still a return

Former Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has not played a professional jack since September 2024 and has recently been ignored in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 draft. However, the 37 -year -old still has an experience and was therefore recently appointed as Quetta Gladiator Team Director.

The new out -of -field role taken by Sarfaraz fueled rumors of retirement, but the former Pakistan captain is still an active player and is still willing to play professional jack at the highest level.

Im I haven’t announced my retirement yet, Sarfaraz said Geo Super.

“When someone plays cricket all their lives, staying away from the game is suffering. There is a time to get away from every player, but I try to make the best use of any kind of match I get.”

While Sarfaraz acknowledged that Pakistan’s hopes of return may be finished, he insisted that he was still ‘hopeful’ without playing in domestic competitions. It was not part of the 2025 National T20 Cup won by the 37 -year -old Lahore region Blues.

He said, “I’m still holding a chance alive, maybe I’ll get another chance.”

“I never said I had to play for Pakistan. Of course, to represent their countries is the dream of every player. I just want to perform well in the jack I play and give 100 percent.”

Sarfaraz mentioned when he can retire, “I will say myself when I feel that the moment is coming – yes, my jack is over.” He said.

Sarfaraz is the last Pakistan captain who won an ICC cup that took the team to the title of 2017 Champions Cup.
