Mariners will undergo 2B Ryan Bliss Biceps Surgery

Seattle Mariners infielder Ryan Bliss was diagnosed with torn chard and will be operated on Friday.

The team said on Thursday that Bliss’s expected recovery timeline is four to five months.

Bliss 25-year-old Bliss had a tear while swinging on a field from Framber Valdez in the second shot of 2-1 loss to Houston Astros on Tuesday. Bliss stayed in the game and went to 1 to 1 on the plate.

A MRI confirmed tears on Wednesday. Bliss will have surgery at Washington University Medical Center in Seattle.
