128 years later, the Cricket was approved for La28 while participating in the Olympics again
Kriket will return to the Olympic scene for the first time since 1900 and approve the organizers of Los Angeles 2028 games.
The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games will celebrate Cricket’s return to the Olympics after a 128 -year hiatus. On Tuesday, the announcement confirmed that matches would be held in Pomona, and the sport solved previous speculations that could be staged as far away as New York.
The tournament will follow the twenty -20 format for both men and women.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) had previously approved the inclusion of the jack and showed its global charm with an estimated 2.5 billion fan base. The International Cricket Council (ICC) welcomed the venue approval and called it an important milestone in preparations for the return of the sport.
ICC President Jay Shah said in a press release, “We welcome the announcement of the cricket place in Los Angeles 2028, because an important step for preparation for the return of our sport to the Olympics.” He said.
Elsewhere, LA28 introduced a number of high -profile places in the region. Squash will make the Olympic output in the films to make the Universal Studios Courthouse Square Return to the Future And Murmur.
Triathlon will move from Long Beach to Venice Beach, which will serve as a starting line for male and female marathons and road bike races. Surf will take place at Trestles Beach in San Clemente, a popular place known for its consistent wave quality.
During the 1984 Olympics, baseball will return to the Dodger Stadium, the iconic home of Los Angeles Dodgers and to a host site.

Karen Bass, Mayor of Los Angeles, described the announcement as a chance to exhibit the diversity of the city. “From the Sepulveda Basin to the iconic coast of the Venice Beach, our world -famous neighborhoods and hidden jewels will be on the screen for everyone to experience and enjoy.”
Additional places announced include Santa Anita Park and Anita Park and Anita Volleyball Center for equestrian events.
