Mets buys LHP Jose Castillo from Diamondbacks

New York Mets acquired Jose Castillo from Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for cash issues by adding her left hand to Bullpen on Thursday.
In 2018, Castillo went to San Diego Padres. Venezuelan native, 3.29 ERA and 12 walks to 3-3 on the way to 38 1/3 relief inning 52 fans.
However, the injuries limited the 29-year-old child to only two strokes in the main branches between 2019-23.
In December 2023, Castillo signed a small league agreement with Arizona and held 21 matches for Triple-A Reno in 2024. After the season, he selected a free agency, but again in January with Diamondbacks.
After five games for Reno this season, Arizona called Castillo on May 1 and took part in five games and allowed eight wins in 6 1/3 Inning. After Dodgers gave up three runs in Dodgers on May 11, Diamondback assigned him the next day.
To make room for Castillo, Mets appointed Kevin Herget, right -handed for the task. Herget’s lonely appearance this season was against Arizona on April 29th. Two runs (one won) and three strokes in three strokes.
