Welterweight Michael Morales made a short work of former UFC Welterweight champion Gilbert Burns and won a first round of TKO in 3: 39 at the UFC Fight Night main event on Saturday night at Las Vegas.
Morales (18-0 mma) rose to 6-0 in UFC since 2022 and extended Burns’s lost ski until April 2023.
Morales said he could not foresee a better result by lending Burns (22-9 mMa) for his wide resume.
“This is hard work, hard work, Mo Morales said. “Every fight is hard. We did this.”
The joint main event saw that Rodolfo Bellato was withdrawn from Paul Craig with Paul Craig, after revealing that the UFC broadcast team was undesirable medical concerns.
Nursultan Ruziboev and Light Mairon Santos, unanimously, won their struggles against Dustin Stoltzfus and Sodiq Yusuf. Ruziboev (36-9 mMA) won two consecutively, while Stoltzfus (16-7 mma) lost three of the last five.
Santos (17-1 MMA) hasn’t lost since February 2022. Meanwhile, Yusuf (13-5 mma) lost three in a row.
In 2025, Melquizael Costa became the first UFC fighter to win three fights during a calendar year. Costa (24-7 mMA) unanimously decided unanimously on Julian Erosa (31-32 mma), 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.
