Miller Family, MSE Purchasing RSL, Utah Royals

On Friday, Larry H. Miller family and Miller Sports + Entertainment concluded the acquisition of RSL Football Holdings, a group of MLS’s Real SALT Lake and NWSL Club Utah Royals FC.
According to Athletics, the purchase of $ 600 million includes the real estate assets of the MLS Next Pro Team Real Monarchs and RSL Academy, as well as the real estate assets of the USA, Zions Bank Stadium and Zions Bank Training Center.
The Miller family had previously had NBA’s Utah Jazz between 1986-2020.
Billionaire businessman David Blitzer will remain the largest shareholder, while Ryan Smith no longer has a property share in the group.

Blitzer was quick to embrace the Miller family.

Larry H. Miller Company Chairman Steve Miller will serve as president and governor for Real Salt Lake. Blitzer will serve as an alternative governor.

Sportico’s MLS appraisal is a number containing the NWSL team worth $ 525 million. According to Sportico’s NWSL values in September, the royals are worth $ 70 million on their own.
