Ms. Dhoni returned to Captain Chennai Super Kings, taking on the role of Ruturaj Gaikwad with a broken elbow.

Dhoni will celebrate the captain’s return on CSK’s home match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday, April 10th.
Dhoni, who was appointed as the captain of the side in the first season, took CSK to his first title in 2010 before repeating success next year. Later, they won in 2018 and later in 2021 before their last win.

The news was confirmed by the chief coach Stephen Fleming: “The player who has not avoided Ms. Dhoni, we are working as the captain for the rest of the tournament.”
