Southern California city Pomona Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games will host Kriket

Haydarabad: The Los Angeles 28 Olympic Organization Committee announced that the fairgrounds in Pomona in Southern California will host crickets in LA28 games.
Cricket will return to the Olympic Games between 14-30 July and indicate its first appearance since 1900.
“Cricket (T20), a global famous sport added to the 2028 Olympic Sports program in 2023, will make its first exit in Southern California in a temporary, purposeful structure in the fairgrounds in Pomona.”
Pomona, about 50 kilometers east of Los Angeles and officially known as Fairplex, is a 500 -acre site that has been home to the Los Angeles District Fair since 1922. The International Cricket Council (ICC) welcomed the announcement.
“We are glad to announce the announcement of the cricket venue in Los Angeles 2028, because an important step to prepare for the return of our sport to the Olympics,” ICC President Jay Shah said in a statement.
“Although the Cricket is already an extremely popular sport, it offers a great opportunity to expand the traditional boundaries in the fast -paced, exciting T20 -form Olympics and to attract new viewers.”
During the IOC’s 141th session in October 2023, IOT was officially added to the Los Angeles Olympics program. Added to the games played with five new sports in LA28: baseball/volleyball, flag football, lakros (six-said) and squash.
Six cricket teams will compete in men and women’s competitions at La28 Olympic Games. The competence criteria for these teams have not yet been completed.
