After the IPL 2025 matches between the Punjab Kings in Dharamsala and Delhi Capitals, several reports claimed that players in Himachal Pradesh, the town of Hill, would leave by train for Delhi or another city. But now, there has been a new development. Indian railways were not allowed for security reasons to move players from Pathankot to Delhi. Now, the players will be moved by bus.
The development was called on Thursday after more than 10.1 games at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala due to the ongoing military tension between India and Pakistan after the IPL 2025 matches between PBKS and DC on Thursday. Drone strikes from Pakistan resulted in interruptions in Jammu, Pathankot and Udampur, all of them close to Dharamshala.
On Thursday evening at 21:30, one of the four projectors went out and soon the earth became partially dark. At that time, the players and the referees returned to the locker room even if the remaining projectors started to close.
Soon, the audience was asked to evacuate the stadium calmly, which was carried out smoothly by local authorities and Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA). The visuals also showed that IPL President Arun Dhumal walked along the border and called on fans to leave the stadium. In addition to the players on both sides, other personnel working around the game returned to their hotels safely.
Since cross -border tensions have increased on Thursday, the future of IPL 2025, which consists of 12 league matches and playoffs, seems uncertain. After a meeting between the best decision -makers in BCCI and the advice from the central government, a call to whether the rest of the tournament will continue as planned.
