Noting to miss the Olympic Cricket, West Indies suggests ICC 2 plans

Olympic problem

West Indian Islands offer

The West Indians proposed two plans to the CWI ICC, as it was in the top 5 for the ICC T20 T20 team ranking in both men and women.

Offer 1: Internal qualification: If the ICC uses rankings to identify qualified teams, the Caribbean islands will play an internal tournament between countries affiliated to IOC. The winner will represent the West Indian Islands in the LA 2028 Olympics jack.
Offer 2: Global Quality for Associate Nations: If the ICC decides as a qualified criterion against the rankings, the West Indian Islands proposes a global Olympics eliminating for joint Nations. All Caribbean Islands will compete in this tournament. However, there are 96 auxiliary members in ICC except 12 full members. This will make the qualifying tournament into a long tournament. When the cricket calendar is already packaged, it can be difficult to make room for such a detailed tournament.

ICC’s struggle
