Has BCCI eliminated fast bowling contracts? Akash Deep gets a promotion, others are out
BCCI engraved the quick bowling contracts for 2024-25 on Monday. Only Akash Deep managed to make a contract from the previous list.
During the last cycle of the BCCI central contracts, the Board of Directors introduced something called ‘Fast Bowling Contracts’ offered to the upcoming Pacers – Umran Malik, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Yash, Vidwath Kavderappa and Akash Deep. However, when the new contracts for 2024-25 were announced on Monday, this ‘fast bowling contract’ was not mentioned.

This clearly means that BCCI disappeared with them. Pacer Akash Deep, a member of the Indian test team for the Australian tour, was promoted to Class C, while others were ignored for the contract. Although it is not explicitly specified in the BCCI version, but considering that Akash Deep is promoted to Class C, this is the only result that the person can draw.

Some of the new participants in Class C – Australia’s hymen tone, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Ishan Kishan and Varun Chakravarthy’de Nitish Kumar Reddry continued to continue a hymen. However, the biggest surprise of all of them was held in the Axar Patel B. class, a Class A contract of Rishabh Pant.
What surprises many of them is the inclusion of Ishan Kishan, who has not played a single game for India since 2023. His performance is not worth praising this year in the local circuit or IPL.
