Kolkata Knight Rits (KKR) Multidimensional Sunil Narine has a world -famous reputation of being an explosive striker of the jacky ball. However, during the match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Tuesday, the West Indian had to face shame because it failed under traditional bat control. The Indian Premier League (IPL) Management Council brought random bat controls during games to prevent players from getting an unfair advantage in games. When Narine’s bat was checked while preparing to go out, it was found that it violated the acceptable limit.

A video of Narine’s unsuccessful bat control appeared on social media and triggered a great debate about whether the West Indian had a pottery of pottery until the PBKS matched using a ‘illegal bat’.

Another player Anrich Nortje was another player who failed bat control during the PBKS vs KKR match in Mullanpur. In the last stages of the game, the bat was checked before the bat was against Punjab. Nortje was informed about the size limit and had to replace the bat like Narine.

What are the rules of the Bat Size?

According to the rules set by the Cricket Control Board (BCCI) in India, the width of the bat face should not exceed the limit of 10.79 cm. There is also a control for the thickness of the knife, which should not be more than 6.7 cm. The width of the bat should be at the limit of 4 cm, and the bat length should not be more than 96.4 cm.

Since the beginning of the IPL, bat controls have been carried out at random intervals in several matches. The authorities entered the players’ dressing rooms to make compulsory checks. However, Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) game and Delhi Capitals (DC) vs Mumbai Indians (MI) game, Boudnary rope controls made in the field was seen.
