Harbhajan Singh’s comments are coming on the same day that says that he claims to inform Dhoni about the future of CSK
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh claimed that only MS Dhoni has real fans and that all others were paid ones. The ex-CSK spinner made the comment on a JioHotstar broadcast during RCB vs KKR match that was washed out. His remarks come on the same day when reports claimed that Dhoni has informed the CSK management about his future and has no plans to retire after IPL 2025.
Bhajji claims only Dhoni fans are real
Speaking on the broadcast, Harbhajan urged Dhoni to play as long as he could. The ex-Indian cricketer went on to claim that only the CSK stalwart had real fans while the other cricketers had paid fans. Singh’s comments forced fans to speculate if he was taking a dig at the likes of Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma.
“Kitna bacha hua hai aur jab tak dum hai khelo bhai. Meri team hoti to shayad main kuch aur decision leta. Aur seedhi si baat hai fan to chahenge kyunki unke fan jo hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki sabse zyada fan agar asal wale fan jo hai wo unke hi hai (CSK). Baaki to ye bane banaye hai jo aajkal social media aadha to paid hi chalta hai par ye inke fan jo hai wo asali hai. Inke jo fan hai wo sahi mein fan hai,” Harbhajan claimed.
Dhoni has no plans to retire from IPL?
As per Times of India, insiders from CSK strongly believe that IPL 2025 will not be the end of the road for Dhoni. The report states that the five-time champions believe that they have too many loose ends to deal with in terms of letting the CSK stalwart go.
“Dhoni has said that he take a decision a few months later, but the feeling is that there are too many loose ends to deal with in the team for MSD to go at this stage,” the report states.
Earlier this year, Dhoni revealed that he wanted to enjoy the few more years of cricket left in him. At that time too, he had said that he played cricket only for two months while he had to keep himself fit by playing other sports the rest of the year.
