ORİOLES MANAGER BRANDON HYDE

Baltimore Orrioles fired the manager Brandon Hyde on Saturday.

Orioles went to the second place in the American League from a Playoff team in the last two seasons. Only Chicago White Sox (14-31) has a worse record than Baltimore (15-28).

In addition to injuries to start the season, Orioles was disturbed by the inadequate performances of the players, including All-Star Catcher Adley Rutschman who hit only .214 with four homer and 11 RBIs.

Hyde, 51, was in the seventh season with Orioles and broke 421-492 records in the normal season. After the season, the teams were 0-5.

Mike Elias, General Manager and Vice President of the team, said, “As the president of baseball operations, the poor start of our season is ultimately my responsibility.” He said. “Some of this responsibility makes difficult changes to determine a different way for the future.”

The third basic coach Tony Mansolino 42 will serve as a temporary manager. Since 2021, Cleveland Guardians has four seasonal experience experiences in the farm system. He was one of the staff of Guardians in 2020.

Orioles also expelled Tim Cossins, the club’s big league field coordinator and capture instructor. Robinson will remain as Chirinos bench coach.

Baltimore has lost 10 of the last 12 matches to make 10 1/2 games behind New York York Yang in the American East. Orioles lost the opener of the three series of play with Washington Nationals 4-3 on Friday.

Hyde became the third executive in the 2025 season following Derek Shelton and Colorado Rockies of Pittsburgh Pirates.
