Panthers closed Maple Leafs, two ties series

Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett scored goals and Sergei Bobrovsky defeated the host Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs 2-0 in Sunday Night Sunrise.

The Eastern Conference, which is connected in 2-2, will continue on Wednesday at Toronto.

Florida, the ruled Stanley Cup champion, eliminated Leafs from the second round of the 2023 playoffs, which was the last meeting of these two teams in the season. Panthers also won this year’s season series 3-1.

Joseph Woll made 35 savings for Leafs, who could not get high -power attacks without watching.
