Partial Solar Eclipse Live: Follow a portion of the moon for people in the Northern Hemisphere | Solar eclipses

How can I see the eclipse safely?
Nicola Davis
“If people want to see directly, to look at the sun, a pair of solar eclipse will need glasses or sun audiences,” Jake Foster of the Royal Observatory said. “They use a special filter that prevents 99.9999% of the sunlight, which makes it safe for us. And similarly sun telescopes use similar filters.”

However, there are simple ways to see the partial solar eclipse indirectly. Foster recommends that you get a colander from your kitchen or take a piece of paper with a small hole in it, and thus keep it to keep the sun’s light shine through the holes. This will reflect an image of the eclipse on the ground, wall or other paper.
“The sun will look like a bite, but it will actually be reflected in order to see it safely as it is,” he said. “Sometimes the sunlight passing through the gaps between the leaves in the trees may have the same effect.”

“There is a sun filter in front of my telescope, and low technology, holding my phone camera in front of the eye.”
