Joe Cardona, who won two Super Bowls in 10 seasons with the New England Patriots and has longest -term players, was released by the team on Tuesday.
33 -year -old Cardona joined Patriots from the Navy in the fifth round of 2015 draft. He played 160 normal season matches, including 16 last season and after 13 seasons. He was a member of the Super Bowl li and Super Bowl liii champions.
Patriots prepared Cardona’s potential successor Vanderbilt Long Snapper Julian Ashby on the seventh round of the NFL draft last weekend.
