Payton Pritchard scored 34 points to help Boston Celtics to defeat on Sunday, Charlotte Hornets 93-86 on the last day of the NBA’s normal season.
Charlotte, which 21 watched early, tied the game to connect the 86-86 to Moussa Diabate 2:13 with 2:13, but Boston took the control back by scorning the last seven points of the game. Celtics (61-21) won all four meetings with Hornets (19-63) this season.
As expected, Celtics listened to most of his best players. Derrick White, Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday and Al Horford participated in Boston’s injury report.
Boston received 15 points, 11 points and eight rebounds from Luke Kornet from Sam Hauser. Jordan Walsh added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Josh Okogie and Jusuf Nurkic scored the team’s highest score for Charlotte. Nurcic also collected nine rebounds.
Boston will enter the season as a seed number 2 at the Eastern Conference and open the playoffs against Orlando or Atlanta. Magic and Hawks will meet at the play-in tournament on Tuesday and win the winner of the game.
Charlotte has not done NBA playoffs since 2015-16 season.
Hornets ended the season on a seven -game loss line and lost the last nine road games and broke the third record of the league. Charlotte finished 5-31 against teams with more than 500 records.
Boston used a 16-0 run to get ahead 24-5 and got the advantage of 33-15 after 12 minutes. Celtics made 7 of the 14-point attempt in a quarter and reached 54-43 between the circuit.
9-0 Run Charlotte’un 57-52, the third place, five points, 57-52 allowed. Hornets, 2:15 in a quarter of a Diabate Dunk 64-63, but Boston went ahead 69-68 in the fourth quarter.
