Pistons Edge Knicks led by Cade Cunningham to survive

Cade Cunningham scored 24 points and Ausar Thompson made each clutch to help avoid elimination in the first round with a bold 106-103 victory against the New York Knicks in the game on Tuesday night of the visiting Detroit pistons.

Pistons won the fourth match in New York this season and sent the series back to Detroit for Game 6 on Thursday. If the pistons could win their first home matches, the series would return to New York on Saturday for Game 7.

Tobias Harris added 17 and Dennis Schroder contributed to 13 for pistons with 42.4 percent. Malik Beasley finished with 10 Jalen Duren added nine points and 14 rebounds, 3:05 bullets 95-95 ties and pistons went ahead with 2:28 and 99-95.

OG Anunoby scored 19 goals to lead Knicks, who had not been able to prepare a series in his own courts since he beat Indiana Pacers in the 6th game of the 1999 Eastern Conference Finals. Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges finished with 17, but Jalen Brunson shot 43.3 percent of Knicks and missed 11 free throws.

Cunningham took the lead 101-95 with a difficult floating to Detroit, and Thompson transformed a world with 27.4 seconds for the 103-97 edge. After these shots, the pistons left a corner 3 with 25.3 seconds and 3.1 seconds from Cunningham, the left side of Anunoby, and increased to 104-103 of Detroit.

Thompson’s Dunk took the lead 59-53, and the third run less than three minutes, and Harris remained six minutes. Thompson left 4:29 to Detroit, and Knicks ended 77-74 with a 13-6 explosion to enter the fourth place.

Cunningham wandered around a screen by Thompson, and the Tiebreaking pulley of Detroit’e Tiebreaking pulley gained a separation from the left of the Knicks’s counter to 95-90 to Detroit with 4:17 before resisting a deep 3 by towns.
