Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers will meet on July 31 as part of Enshinement Week in the 2025 Honor List game in Canton, Ohio.
Antonio Gates, who finally spent his entire career with Chargers (2003-2018), is among the Enshrine of the 2025 class.
The game will be played at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton and broadcast on TV by NBC Sports. Lions will serve as a host.
Pro Football Honor List President and CEO Jim Porter, “This game, in February in the next February to reach the Super Bowl LX’e two teams that can be considered as legitimate contestants.” He said. “Ohio should create a dynamic opening to another magnificent NFL season to leave the door in Canton.”
This will be the fourth view of the exhibition game for Lions and the third for Chargers, but since 1994 for both.
Gates is expected to participate in the game by 2025 member members Eric Allen, Jared Allen and Sterling Sharpe.
