Prabhsimran Singh is the highest scorer of Punjab Kings's IPL 2025 season and has already reached 4 fifty.
Prabhsimrah Singh has become Mr Consistent for the Punjab Kings (PBKS). In the last two Indian Premier League (IPL) seasons, the wicketkeeper batter’s strike rate has been over 150. PBKS were guaranteed a quick start. So, before the IPL 2025 auction, Punjab decided to retain him.

The result is for everyone to see. His strike rate is nearly 170 this year. But his average, which was 25 for the last two seasons, has rocketed to 40. He’s also become the record holder for most runs scored by an uncapped batter in IPL history. Prabhsimran has credited PBKS head coach Ricky Ponting for his returns in IPL 2025. But of course, it’s him doing the work in the middle.
Not only is Prabhsimran the highest scorer for PBKS, but he’s just scored his third consecutive fifty of the IPL 2025 season. Only two other openers have scored fifty or more runs for Punjab. These are KL Rahul and Chris Gayle. Two of the greatest openers, not just for PBKS but in IPL history.

This is where Prabhsimran has reached. His intent hasn’t diminished, but he’s just gauged whom to target and when to go berserk. With Priyansh Arya often being the more destructive opener for PBKS, Prabhsimran has often taken the back seat. He now plays out the powerplay much more often, and then when set, takes his chances.
PBKS has constructed an ultra-aggressive batting unit. So Prabhsimran knows he can take a couple of balls. Then when the right matchup comes, he can go hammers and tongs.
