PSL 2025 FLOP! More players than fans in the stadium to watch the matches

PSL 2025, empty stadiums face criticism; More players than fans appear to watch matches.
Two leagues are underway — the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) — in neighboring countries. Fans from both sides claim their country’s league is more popular. However, the reality of the PSL was evident when crowds failed to show up at the stadium.
PSL vs IPL debate ends
Fans are slamming the PSL for comparing itself to the IPL, saying it’s nowhere close. The crowd is smaller than the number of players on both teams.
Several Pakistani cricketers have been drawing comparisons between the PSL and the IPL, but the Pakistan Super League lacks the massive viewership that the IPL enjoys. Fans are mocking the PSL, especially after players received unusual gifts like hair dryers or trimmers in the dressing room.
At the same time, social media is flooded with fan reactions, with many expressing shock over the empty stands. As the PSL once again fails to capture the interest and excitement of its audience, it’s becoming a target of online ridicule.
This season’s low turnout reflects a fan base increasingly frustrated by questionable player selections, off-field controversies, and what they see as a lack of commitment from the authorities. For many, choosing to stay home is seen as a more powerful statement than attending with resentment.
