PWHL expansion draft programs for June 9

The Professional Women’s Hockey League will hold an expansion draft for Seattle and Vancouver franchisees on June 9th.
PWHL also announced the rules and procedures to guide the cadre process for the seventh and eighth members of the league before the 2025-26 season.
The original six club-bostel fleet, Minnesota Frost, Montreal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charans and Toronto Sceptres-Her has a deadline to protect three players from the special signature window that will last between 4-8 June.
Players appropriate for protection should either be covered by the contract in the 2025-26 season or the team should keep their game rights.
After losing two players during a set of signing periods or drafts, it is allowed to protect a fourth player.
Seattle and Vancouver can sign up to five players during the special window.
In the June 9 draft, Seattle and Vancouver will choose at least seven players each until they fill a staff of 12 people. The draft order will be determined later, such as coverage details.
The 2025 PWHL draft is planned at Ortawa, Ontario on June 24th. New York has a general choice.
