Rachel Reeves warned the ‘Buy British’ campaign.

Rachel Reeves rejected the “Buy British” campaign in the midst of the turmoil of liberal democrats from Donald Trump’s tariffs.
On April 2, more than 60 countries announced the taxes on imports, while the US President applied 10% tax on British goods to the United States.
This is what the president describes as the “base ratio – – but it comes to a global 25% tax on cars and steel products.
Therefore, Daisy Cooper, LIB Deputy and Treasury Spokesman, asked Chancellor to make a “Buy British” campaign as part of a wider national effort to encourage people to buy British at home today.
But Reeves returned: orum In terms of the British purchase, I think everyone will make their own decisions.
“What we don’t want to see is a trade war, England becomes introverted, because every country in the world decided that they just decided that they want to buy things produced in their countries. This is not a good way.”
He reiterated the words of Prime Minister Reeves and told the journalists that the government would always return British producers ,, but it was up to individuals to decide what they wanted to buy.
When asked whether the government would recommend the public to avoid American products, he said that Britain would not be compatible with the fact that it is an open trade nation.
The authority said the government focuses on supporting British industries.
Cooper later accused Reeves of being a completely uninformed, and explained the disappointment of the government’s reaction.
“The comments of the chancellor are insulting the businesses pushed to the threshold by Donald Trump’s trade war,” he said.
“This is completely contact with the British people gathered behind local enterprises when they need it.
“Instead of talking about our high streets, the government needs to send a clear message to the White House behind British businesses and against Trump’s damaged tariffs.
“We Liberal Democrats, as a part of a national effort to increase British businesses abroad and abroad, started this acquisition British campaign, while the government wanted to see that the government worked faster and faster in the work with our allies.
“Buying the British is a powerful way for people to pass behind local businesses and show that we will not give Donald Trump to the bullying of Donald as a country.”
